What are your favorite things to do in your free time?

  • Getting the popcorn out for Game of Thrones on a Sunday night?
  • Catching up and getting brunch with a good friend?
  • Laying low on a rainy day with a comforting read?

Whatever it is that we get up to in our free time, I’m sure we can all agree that we just need more of it!

The evenings and weekends should give us plenty of time for our favorite hobbies and activities but often those menacing chores clog up our calendars and keep us cooped up indoors.

Chief among these chores is laundry.

Ranking 3rd on a woman’s list of most time-consuming activities (behind the other daunting duo of cleaning and cooking) washing, drying, and folding laundry takes up 17mins per day and 119mins per week of precious free time [1]. Although laundry is not as big an issue for men it still takes up almost two episodes of the Office at 35mins per week [1].

The 2600lbs of laundry generated by the average American household every year means that men and women spend over 30hrs and 100hrs respectively on doing laundry [2]. These 2600lbs are comprised of around 400 loads of laundry [3], breaking down to roughly 8 loads per week.

With 20mins spent collecting, folding, and putting away [4] even saving one of these loads a week can give us some cheeky extra minutes in the bubble bath, cozy in bed with our favorite book, or in meditation.

At Airfold, we want to help you cut down on your weekly wash load so that you can spend more time doing the things you love.

We have just launched the Airfold Towel Bar on KickStarter which uses a radically, unique design to keep towels fresh for more than 1 week without using any energy.

So if you want to keep your towels smelling like they are fresh out of the wash and keep them out of the wash, then make a pledge to secure your Airfold Towel Bar today.

The Airfold Towel Bar opens up every surface of your towel to airflow, drying more than 40% faster and stopping bacteria growth.
